CRIME JAZZ : VOLUME 17

CRIME JAZZ : VOLUME 17 : THRILLERS!

Here we have a 41 track, two-disc collection of mainly title themes from some ofthe best action thrillers of the 1970's. As well as the usual suspects found onthese compilations I've tried to add a few of the rarer and more unusual scoresfrom that era!Because of the various sources and quality of these tracks I've decided to keepthe better quality rips to disc one and placed all the others onto a second disc.Consider disc two as a "bonus" disc...

Thanks go to Steve for help in sourcing some of the rarer tracks contained on the album.

Thank you very much for this edition! (I haven't been able to listen to it any earlier...) It's another great volume of the coolest series I know of.

Thanks again!

Man, you always maintain a high quality of selections amongst your spy/crime jazz comps--great work, dear sir.

3-Pin, Segroeg, N.D, Cali, Solariscyberdelico (great name) and Mr. Anonymous - Thanks for the kind words and amazing feedback :)

I'm currently working on some TV theme volumes but the quality won't be up to the standard of most of these sets :(

They are however, all original recordings so will be more of an historical journey through crime series rather than high-fidelity listening!

Stay Tuned!

Great set! I've been getting to know some wonderful music since I've hung around your blog. Thank you so much!!
On a minor note: isn't track 11 cut off at 1:15?

THXjay said...

@ carlos

Thanks for the kind words :)

I'm not sure about that track cutting off without listening to it but most of these tracks are bootleg/dvd rips so it's probably just the way it was ripped.

I hope you enjoy the other albums on the site!

Agreed - I must remember to check which ones of this selection I got and maybe repost as a token of goodwill. But I'm a very lazy man so don't hold me up to that....
