CRIME JAZZ : VOLUME 16

CRIME JAZZ : VOLUME 16 : THE LATIN SPY LOUNGE

Taking a break from our "In Action!" series for a while, here we concentrate on music taken from various crime/spy films & television shows with a latin influence. A personal favourite of mine, latin rhythm adds a wonderful smooth percussion style to all kinds of music and is very popular in the "crime jazz" genre. Most of these selections are taken from a time when latin music was taking over the world and nearly every composer of the time started adding the South American influence to their creations.
Sit back and let the music transport you to a yesteryear of exotic locations and swinging secret agents!
No-one can resist the Bossa Nova.......

Muy Bueno Senor Jay! Looking forward to the hearing of the suave songs of latin land. Working slow but sure on M2SB V6.

Hey LP,

We all await your next MTSB volume, you always seem to put together a really polished production and it's always a pleasure to host them ;)

This latin volume of mine was a bit of a last minute thing!
I've been thinking about some latin comps for a while, then after hearing that great Route 66 by Pete Moore it inspired me to get rushed together.

Hopefully it worked out pretty well (I'm quite happy with it) and I'll probably revisit the latin genre at some point in this series.

Thanks again LP!

Great collection with one noticeable selection missing. "The Protectors"
staring Robert Vaughn and Nyree Dawn Porter (circa 1970).

Great opening theme which I am sure SOMEONE recorded.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words Lacey :)

I didn't include The Protectors theme on any of the compilations because it's a vocal track and I like to keep the collections instrumental.

Maybe I will put together a "vocal" theme collection (if I can find enough to fill an album)

Stay Tuned!
